Book reviews: Traveling with Bill Bryson

In a Sunburned Country was my first ever Bill Bryson book (audio). It was wonderful. He made me want to visit Australia. Made me want to spend weeks down there. His book was a funny, delightful distraction and I enjoyed it very much.

My experience with Neither Here Nor There: Travels in Europe (also audio) was the exact opposite. He was trite, sarcastic, completely negative about the European countries. It sounded like a place no one should spend money to visit. Maybe that is an accurate representation of what visiting Europe is actually like. If so, he nailed it.
